TEAM MINISTRIES:
Our primary ministry is hosting teams from overseas and joining them with Ugandan indigenous evangelical ministries to further their efforts in extending Christ's kingdom here in Uganda.
Youth Teams:
Young people 16 and above come for ministry on high school and college campuses. Ugandan youth come live with us and take the initiative to develop assembly programs, which include gospel music, drama, puppets, testimonies, sharing God's word, altar call, and leading seekers to Christ. We have complete freedom to do this ministry on campuses! It's not unusual to have more than 40 respond at a meeting.
College age and young adults :
We encourage individuals and groups to come for ministry especially designed for them, working closely with Ugandan young adults. We have extensive outreach at Makerere University with over 50,000 students. Other ministries include orphanages, working with widows and AIDS victims, Bible teaching, city ministry, and more. Individuals and teams can stay up to a year or more. Where needed, we can help college students complete course requirements.
Adults:
We have a great variety of ministry opportunities for individuals and teams, which we are able to tailor fit to the abilities and interests of those who come. Bible teaching conferences and seminars for church leaders is a powerful ministry tat shows churches that TTW cares about helping them with their ministry and Bible teaching work. The Bishop of Mbale requests us to hold two conferences a year to help strengthen churches.
Discipling:
As a result of the hundreds of students who accept Christ as Savior in the high school ministry, we are developing a program to help these new believers know how to grow and stand firm in their Christian lives. We are working with Ugandan young people on several of the campuses to follow- up these new Christian.
Local Church Ministry:
We are very much involved in a new church plant near the university campus. University Community Fellowship, under the leadership of Pastor Micah Rwothumio and two elders, began a little a little over three years ago to reach out to the thousands of students living in hostels around the university. This is an exciting ministry God has privileged us to be apart of. Ugandan students are so open to the gospel and so warm and hospitable. |
